This course is a combination of lectures, practical workshops and visits to exhibitions, you will learn how to restyle existing garments and create a specific look for a fashion shoot, as well as how to photograph in a digital studio and on location. Working individually and in teams, you will develop your own ideas and create a fashion photo-shoot from concept to execution, producing customised garments along the way to reflect different themes.
The Fashion and Editorial Photography course at LCCA will teach you the skills needed to create images for a number of different commissioners, such as fashion designers and magazines. You will discover the different stages involved in organising a fashion shoot, from the initial concept to the realisation. The Creative Pattern Course at LCCA gives you an introduction to the design development process used by fashion designers. Also you will learn the basics of pattern cutting, draping techniques and you will develop the ability to create required styles given in a specification. Over the ten-week period, you will become accustomed to drafting blocks and translating them into your own style, growing in confidence as a designer.
