The Psychology BSc is a three-year, British Psychological Society (BPS)-accredited course that teaches students to use scientific methods to explore and understand human behaviour. They ask fundamental questions about the mind and tackle pressing societal challenges, from understanding everyday well-being and behaviour to complex clinical disorders. Psychology students will be key to responding to mental health issues, climate change and artificial intelligence – each rooted in the need for behaviour change. Whether you want to predict, measure, influence or understand people, or just make them feel better, psychology at UCL is where to start.
Our Psychology BSc will introduce you to the psychological sciences and help you to explore their application to a variety of contemporary challenges. The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), who have highlighted areas of particular strength in our course, including the emphasis on research-led teaching, our modules for developing employability skills, and the wide range of discipline-specific opportunities, placements and internships that are available for students at the world-leading Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN).
