Focussing on sustainable engineering and technologies in the area of energy and power, the course is designed around the core areas of sustainability for engineers, environmental impact, advanced thermos-fluid systems with a strong emphasis on renewable energy systems, advanced processing methods and optimisation using AI for the process industries. To ensure that you are fully prepared for the breadth of the challenges ahead, the use of power electronic converters covering advanced concepts of power electronic converter systems along with the use of smart grids and sustainability are all integral elements. You will also study research planning, communications, strategy and management to provide a balance between technical expertise and management of sustainable systems, giving you enhanced employability attributes.

This programme may include a range of learning activities such as on-campus teaching, practical sessions, workshops, placements or field-based work. These activities form part of the core learning experience.
