Piping design is a significant component of process plants and various engineering projects. The skill of piping engineering revolves around the development of a time-efficient piping process to allow the safe transportation of gas and fluids across industrial plants. Hence piping engineering needs precision and care while you perform its operations.

Process plants, such as refineries and petrochemical plants, are complex facilities consisting of equipment, piping systems, instruments, electrical systems, electronics, computers, and control systems. The design, engineering, and construction of process plants involve a multidisciplinary team effort.

The Creative Pattern Course at LCCA gives you an introduction to the design development process used by fashion designers. Also you will learn the basics of pattern cutting, draping techniques and you will develop the ability to create required styles given in a specification. Over the ten-week period, you will become accustomed to drafting blocks and translating them into your own style, growing in confidence as a designer.

MA IN FASHION RETAIL AND LUXURY MANAGEMENT

The MA in Fashion Retail and Luxury Management programme merges aspects retail and management, resulting in students gaining practical knowledge and skills in more than one discipline.
From analysis of the fashion system to the study of marketing techniques, the content of this programme will provide students with an extremely thorough understanding of the industry. The course also looks closely at fashion as a cultural, social and historical system characterised by ever-evolving trends.

The Winter Fashion Academy introduces students to the fundamentals of fashion design and how to present their design ideas using Photoshop, styling and customisation and creating looks to be used for an editorial fashion shoot.
This two-week course is designed to introduce you the various aspects of Fashion.

FASHION ILLUSTRATION

The Fashion Illustration course at LCCA allows you to explore various techniques used to create fashion illustrations. You will see your sketching and painting skills improve in leaps and bounds, focusing on things such as body proportions and silhouettes. The course will also incorporate use of CAD, broadening your fashion illustration skillset.

FASHION BUSINESS

The Fashion Business course at LCCA will introduce you to the business side of the fashion industry. You will be learning the fundamentals of the design process, branding, promotion and marketing in order to sell the designs. By the end of the course, you will have basic understanding of the fashion industry as a whole and the business behind making it one of the most dynamic industries in the world.

The course has links with other parts of the University, particularly the Faculty of History, the Department of History of Art, and Kellogg College, amongst the fellows of which is the largest concentration of architectural historians associated with the University.

An overview of the course structure is provided below. Details of the compulsory elements of the course are provided in the Course components section of this page.
The course is taught over one year from October to September, comprising three 10-week terms and a fourth summer term.
The first term covers core material using lectures, tutorials and practical work, and aims to ensure that students achieve the core knowledge of the principles and practice of pharmacology. At the end of the term, you will sit a computer-based qualifying exam passing this exam allows you to continue the course.
